BREAKING DOWN THE DIFFERENT GRADES OF MILITARY SURPLUS
In the world of Military Surplus there is no hiding the fact that products come in a wide variety of conditions; from excellent to worn, products can vary greatly. At Sturm quality matters and that is why we sell our surplus products based on three categories; “New”, “Like New”, & “Used”. Condition wise this would translate to: New products = Grade 1, Like New = Grade 2, and Used = Grade 3.
NEW- These products are defined as being unissued and still in the original packaging, making them a highly sought-after quality determination as they are typically in excellent condition.
LIKE NEW- A product defined as being new/unissued but not in the original packaging. These products typically show signs of long-term storage therefore in good conscience cannot be sold as a “New” product.
USED- Used Products are defined as anything else that does not fall in the two above categories but is still in a fair serviceable condition allowing the product to perform its intended function.
