TEESAR® OD GEN.III SOFTHSELL PANTS

As an avid outdoorsman I am always looking for quality clothing and gear to make my time afield as enjoyable as possible. Like most Americans I am somewhat of a weekend warrior, getting roughly two days to spend in the outdoors chasing whatever game is in season for that time of year. With this limited amount of time the last thing you want to worry about is if your gear is going to hold up to the elements of Mother Nature.

I have been lucky enough to obtain a job that sells some real high-quality products that I can trust to help me get the job done. I have Turkey hunted in these for the past three seasons and let me tell you I have not been disappointed. They are light weight enough that when the Spring heat of midafternoon in Georgia hits you will not be dying of a heat stroke, but heavy duty enough that the crisp cool morning air does not eat through you sending you into uncontrollable shivers. This is because they are designed with US Army specifications as the 3rd generation Extended Cold Weather Clothing Systems (ECWCS). This system is designed to emit body dampness while retaining the heat of the body to naturally insulate itself.

I have three favorite parts to these pants; the first being that with them being softshell they are water resistant, so you never feel the wet seeping in from the morning dew while walking through a field. The pants will appear as if they are soaked but they keep the moisture on the outside. My second favorite benefit to these pants is the large cargo pockets. These pockets have more than enough room to store the spare gear that you need. I tend to keep my gloves, facemask, spare shotgun shells and sometimes even calls or a power bar in these pockets. Lastly and possibly my favorite aspect of these pants is the elastic leg cuffs. These I find to be extremely useful on long run and gun hunts where you are really putting a lot of miles on your boots. These form and fit great to my boot keeping the pants in place when walking, running, and sitting down. It keeps the pant from riding up and exposing any unwanted areas while preventing debris from catching and getting inside the pants while walking through thick brush.

All and all these are a great addition to anyone’s gear and a pair of pants I would highly recommend to anyone looking to purchase a quality pair of pant
