WHAT IS MILITARY SURPLUS?

What is Military Surplus? Military Surplus can best be described as military clothing and equipment that governments no longer need or are discontinuing due to the switch to newer more up to date products they are going to provide to troops. When this happens, the government will auction off this gear to wholesalers and retailers alike for pennies on the dollar compared to what the original manufactured price is. When obtaining these materials, they will come in a variety of conditions from brand new to used.

These variations in condition provide the end consumer (retail customer) with the ability to buy quality “military grade” equipment at great prices.

What is “Military Grade”? This is a statement used to determine the baseline quality and/or standard required for a product to be adopted by the government to issue.

In other words when buying military surplus as an end consumer you will typically (depending on how well the item has been used) be buying high quality products that have been field tested and proven for an affordable price.
